FodderConnect – Premium Fodder Sales

Who are FodderConnect

FodderConnect facilitates pathways from fodder producers to end users by bringing together channels of distribution which provide several benefits to both producers and end users. These benefits include improved efficiencies, a better assortment of fodder types, routinisation of transactions, and easier sourcing of fodder and consequently buyers. The use of intermediaries such as FodderConnect aids the search processes of both producers and end users. Producers are searching to determine their buyers’ needs, while buyers are searching for certain fodder products. A degree of uncertainty in both search processes can be reduced by using channels of distribution.

As a supply chain management business FodderConnect typically provides vertical market expertise, transaction processing capabilities, and business consulting services, allowing fodder producers to focus on their core competencies. In addition to reducing costs, effective supply chain management can result in enhanced supplier relations and greater end user satisfaction through timely deliveries and accurate responses to end user inquiries.

Supply Agreements

FodderConnect negotiates Supply Agreements between fodder producers and end users. This offers certainty and security for both parties by clearly setting out the rights and responsibilities of each party to the transaction thereby removing ambiguity.

Fodder Feed Test Analysis Reports

Fodder producers are required to provide a feed test analysis report to accompany each order which is essential for the end user to understand the nutritive value of the fodder provided including feeding solely or in mixed feed situations and how successful the harvesting and ensiling process has been. It will also highlight what may need to be done next season to improve the quality of the fodder.

Commodity Vendor Declaration Forms

FodderConnect requires fodder producers to supply a Commodity Vendor Declaration (CVD) form for all supply orders. This is a guarantee to the end user that the fodder purchased is safe from chemical contamination.

Payment Terms

All orders must be fully paid for and confirmed through a bank transaction receipt by no later than 24 hours prior to shipment by the end user.  If these terms are not confirmed to FodderConnect by the fodder producer the order may be cancelled or delayed until these terms are satisfied.

Trusted Road Transport Options

We can arrange for our carriers who are trusted and reliable local companies travelling locally and nationally to transport paid for loads on your behalf. Alternatively you can arrange to transport purchased loads using your own carrier. We have dedicated carriers who are sub-contracted to transport the product (Hay, Grain, Straw, Silage and By-product) on our behalf. Our Carriers are generally small family companies, who can commit to the same level of service as we provide to our clients.

We take road safety very seriously and never push our drivers to deliver within unrealistic or unreasonable time frames and we understand that you will do the same. Our Drivers moisture test and visually check the hay as it is loaded and will report any issues to our management team.
