{"id":1015,"date":"2018-07-08T16:02:00","date_gmt":"2018-07-08T16:02:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/propertyandlivestock.com.au\/?p=1015"},"modified":"2020-05-11T17:16:50","modified_gmt":"2020-05-11T17:16:50","slug":"eligibility-for-the-first-home-owners-grant-fhog-in-nsw","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/propertyandlivestock.com.au\/en_au\/eligibility-for-the-first-home-owners-grant-fhog-in-nsw\/","title":{"rendered":"Eligibility for the First Home Owners Grant (FHOG) in NSW"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eligibility for FHOG.&nbsp;(Source: The NSW State Office of Revenue)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Your eligibility for the FHOG is determined by the conditions of the individual scheme, the property value and the date in which you entered into the eligible transaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Generally, you\u2019ll need to satisfy the following (among other criteria) to qualify:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Each applicant is a natural person (e.g. not a company)<\/li><li>At least one applicant is a permanent resident or an Australian citizen<\/li><li>Each applicant must be aged 18 years or older<\/li><li>All applicants have not owned a residential property in Australia before July 2000<\/li><li>All applicants have not previously owned a residential property for a continuous period of at least six months<\/li><li>All applicants have not previously received a grant under the First Home Owner Grant Act 2000 in any state or territory<\/li><li>At least one applicant will occupy the home as their principal place of residence for a continuous period of 6 months<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>To find out if you\u2019re eligible for the FHOG, please visit the NSW State Office of Revenue and review the eligibility requirements for the scheme you\u2019d like to apply for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to apply for the FHOG<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019d like to apply for the FHOG, you can do so through your financial institution or through NSW Office of State Revenue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Keep in mind that you can only lodge an application with NSW Office of State Revenue once you are registered on the property title.<\/p>\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Eligibility for FHOG.&nbsp;(Source: The NSW State Office of Revenue) Your eligibility for the FHOG is determined by the conditions of the individual scheme, the property value and the date in which you entered into the eligible transaction.
